hardware and software components of the Dell PowerEdge Cluster FE100. This docu-
ment addresses the use of two PowerEdge 6300, 6350, or 4300 server systems and
a Dell PowerVault 65

F storage system in the PowerEdge Cluster FE100.
This guide addresses two audience levels:
Users and system installers who perform general setup, cabling, and configura-
tion of the PowerEdge Cluster FE100
Trained service technicians who perform more extensive upgrade or mainte-
nance tasks such as installing expansion cards

Chapter 1, “Getting Started,” provides an overview of the PowerEdge
Cluster FE100 and outlines the steps for installing a new PowerEdge
Cluster FE100 system or integrating an existing PowerEdge system into a
PowerEdge Cluster FE100.

cabling the system hardware components.
