To enable super video graphics array (SVGA) on your PowerEdge 6300, 6350, or 4300
system(s), you need to install the ATI video driver provided with your system.
NOTE: You must reinstall this driver if you reapply Windows NT Service Pack 3. You do
not need to reinstall the video driver if you are using Windows NT Service Pack 4.

Dell OpenManage Application-Transparent Failover (ATF) is a software product that
works with the PowerVault 65
x
F storage system to enable application programs to
continue running after the failure of an SP, host bus adapter, link control card (LCC), or
cable. Without human intervention, ATF can route input/output (I/O) data through a
secondary path to the disk units that the programs need.
Refer to the
Dell OpenManage ATF Installation and Operation Guide
for instructions
on installing Dell OpenManage ATF.

After you install the Windows NT Service Pack and hotfixes, install the Dell OpenMan-
age Data Agent on both nodes and install the Data Supervisor or, if available, Data
Administrator on one of the nodes. These Dell OpenManage utilities are required to
manage the PowerVault storage system.
Dell OpenManage Data Agent enables Dell OpenManage data management software
to access the Dell PowerVault 65
x
F storage systems connected to a Windows NT
host. In a cluster environment, you must dedicate a logical unit number (LUN) so that
the Data Supervisor or Data Administrator can communicate with the Data Agent.
Refer to “Configuring the Dell OpenManage Managed Node Agent in a Cluster” in
Chapter 3 for information about setting up a dedicated LUN for the Data Agent. Dell
OpenManage Data Supervisor and Data Administrator provide a graphical user inter-
face that lets you configure and manage the physical components of the storage
system. Using Data Supervisor or Data Administrator, you can group the PowerVault
system’s physical disks into LUNs and monitor the status of the physical disks and
other customer-replaceable units (CRUs) that make up the storage system.
Refer to the
Dell OpenManage Data Agent Installation and Operation Guide
, the
Dell
OpenManage Data Supervisor Installation and Operation Guide,
and the
Dell
Open-
Manage Data Administrator Installation and Operation Guide
for instructions on
installing the Dell OpenManage Data Agent and the Data Administrator.
