OWNER’S MANUAL
TROUBLESHOOTING
OBSERVED PROBLEM
Can not light main burner
No gas to burner, although wall switch and
valve are set to the ON position
Frequent flame outage
Burner goes off after a short time
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1. No gas supply, or shutoff valve is OFF
2. Air in gas line
3. Low gas pressure
4. Bad valve
5. Bad electrode wire or loose connection
6. No power to unit or the ignition module
or power transformer is bad
1. Wall switch wires defective
1. The electrode may be in the wrong po-
sition causing electrode not to sense
burner flame
1. Venting recirculation problem
REMEDY
1. Check to see if you have gas supply
2. Repeat lighting procedure several times
to purge all air out of lines. If after re-
peated attempts appliance does not light
call for qualified service and repair
3. Contact your gas supplier
4. Replace control valve (see Replacement
Pa rt s, page 27)
5. Tighten wires or replace electrode
6. Check that the main power is on and that
all wire connections are made correctly
to the ignition module (see Wiring Dia-
gram, page 22). Check for 24 VAC at
the secondary side of the transformer. If
24 VAC is present and the module does
not operate, have the module replaced
otherwise have the transformer replaced.

1. Clean and adjust electrode to burner
flame for maximum sensitivity on the
electrode See page 19 for electrode as-
sembly adjustments.
1. Have a qualified technician check vent-
ing system for leaks or obstructions.
