Burner Tube Cleaning
m CAUTION: Care must be taken when removing or
reinstalling burner tubes. Do not force or bend the gas lines
that connect the burner tubes to the control valve.
G) Look inside each burner with a flashlight.
H) Clean the inside of the burners with a wire (a straightened-out coat hanger will
work).
I) Check and clean the air shutter opening at the ends of the burners. Check and
clean the valve orifices at the base of the burner orifice (3). Use a steel bristle brush
to clean outside of burners. This is to make sure all the burner ports are fully open.
m CAUTION: Do not enlarge the burner ports when cleaning.
J) Lightly tap the burner to get debris and dirt out of the burner tube. Once the Spider/
Insect screen and burner is clean reinstall the burner.
Burner Tube Reinstallation
m CAUTION: The burner opening (4) must be positioned
properly over the valve orifices (5).
K) To reinstall the burner, reverse D) through F). Check for proper assembly before
fastening burner tubes in place.
m WARNING: After reinstalling the burners, the gas
connections should be leak checked with a soap and water
solution before using the barbecue. Refer to “CHECK FOR
GAS LEAKS”.
