Troubleshooting
Problem
Burner will not
light using
ignitor.
Burner will not
match light.
Flames blow out.
Flashback (fire in
burner tube)
Possible Cause
Electrode and burner are wet.
Electrode cracked or broken,
"sparks at crack".
Wire is loose or disconnected.
Wire is shorting (sparking)
between ignitor and electrode.
Bad ignitor.
No gas flow.
Obstruction of gas flow.
Does regulator/valve cap stay
down.
Disengagement of burner to
valve.
High or gusting winds.
Low on LP gas.
Burner is blocked.
Prevention/Cure
Wipe dry with cloth.
Replace electrode.
Reconnect or replace ignitor wire.
Reconnect or replace ignitor wire.
Replace ignitor.
Check to see if LP tank is empty.
Clear burner.
Replace with Thermos parts.
Check steps in assembly
instructions.
Turn front of grill to face wind or
increase flame height.
Refill LP tank. Replace 1 lb.

Clean burner.
