Safety Behavior and Practices
CAUTION
Do not block the discharge of
warm air from the fireplace.
Children and adults should be
alerted to the hazards of high
temperatures and should stay
away to avoid burns or clothing
ignition. Hand or body contact
with high temperature areas of
the appliance must be
avoided. Do not allow anyone
to sit or lean against the
appliance.
Young children should be
carefully supervised when they
are near the appliance.
Clothing or other flammable
material should not be placed
on or near the appliance.
Do not spray aerosols near the
appliance while it is operating.
Most aerosols contain butane
gas which is flammable.
An LP cylinder not connected
for use shall not be stored in
the vicinity of this appliance.
Do not insert items into the
fireplace.
Do not burn any solid fuels in
the fireplace. Use only natural
gas or propane gas.
This appliance must not be
used for any other purpose
than heating. Do not use this
appliance to prepare food.
The appliance (including
burner assembly if used
alone), must be secured into or
onto a permanent fixture.
Any materials or objects that
are near this appliance when it
is in operation may be
subjected to radiant heat and
could sustain damage.
Any guard or other protective
device removed for servicing
the appliance must be
replaced prior to operating the
appliance.
Keep the area around the
appliance clear and free from
combustible materials,
gasoline, and other flammable
vapors and liquids.
Installation and servicing
should be performed by a
licensed or qualified service
technician.
WARNING
Do not use this appliance if
any part has been under
water. Immediately call a
qualified service technician to
inspect the appliance and to
replace any part of the control
system and any gas control
which has been under water.

Burner lights with a low gas rate (lights to pilot).
Flame Failure: The appliance will automatically shut
down if the burner flame is extinguished.
