Preparation
LEAK TESTING
All factory-made connections have been thoroughly tested for gas leaks.

CAUTION: TEST ALL FITTINGS FOR LEAKS BEFORE USING
YOUR GAS GRILL.
TEST FOR LEAKS EVERY TIME YOU DISCONNECT
AND RECONNECT A GAS FITTING, TEST ATLEAST
ONCE A YEAR OR AFTER ANY LONG PERIODS OF
TIME WITHOUT USE.
DO NOT SMOKE!
NEVER TEST FOR LEAKS WITH A LIGHTED MATCH
OR OPEN FLAME.
TEST FOR LEAKS OUTDOORS.
To test for leaks:
1. Check to make sure the burner controls are “OFF”. Extinguish any

           
detergent.
3. Open gas shut off valve.
4. Brush the soap solution on each connection. (Fig. 2)
5. If your grill is equipped with a side burner or rear burner (Fig. 3):
 

 

7. Any leak detected must be sealed before the appliance can be
used.
8. If the leak cannot be sealed, shut off the gas supply and contact
the dealer or the gas company for assistance. DO NOT attempt to
operate the appliance.
