I can turn the smoker on and set the temperature, but the heating light does not come on and the unit will not heat. I tapped the inside housing over the heating element and the heat started working, an hour or so later I came out side to find the unit powered off completely. I turned the unit on and set the temperature, but the heating light will not come on at all. Is it a short or do I need to replace the heating element all together?
