I NEED HELP WITH MY SMOKER...

I HAVE A BRINKMAN VERTICAL SMOKER WITH WHAT LOOKS LIKE A WATER BOWL. SITTING ON A SHELF AND 2 COOKING GRAITS BUT I DONT KNOW HOW AND WHERE TO PUT THE CHARCOAL & WOOD. PLEASE HELP THANKYOU.
