N415-0064 APR 08/08
Ensure that the
valve properly
enters the
mouth of the
burner.
1. Turn off and disconnect the gas supply to the grill. Remove
warming rack, cooking grids & sear plates.
2. Remove control knobs from gas valves and disconnect the
wires from the igniter located on the underside of the control
panel.
3. Remove the 1/4” hex heads screws (2) located on the lower
front corners of the control panel.
4. Remove the side shelves by removing the #14 x 1/2” screws
(2) from the underside of both shelves.
5. Lift the shelves away from the control panel. Lift the control
panel up and off.
6. Disconnect the gas supply hose from the manifold as well
as the rear burner feed tube, then remove the 3/8” manifold
mounting screws (3) from the inside of the grill base. Remove
the manifold assembly.
7. Remove the 1/4” hex head screw (1) located in the centre
back of each U shaped burner. Remove the burner shields.
Note: For re-installing, the screw can be started through the
burner into the back wall before fitting the slotted opening of the
burner shield over the screw, behind the burner.
8. The burners can now be removed by pulling each assembly
forward slightly, then moving the burner upwards and back,
allowing the burner to clear the holes in the front of the base.
Reverse this procedure to re-install. Ensure that the burner
carryover ports are on the underside of the burners.
7. Re-install the manifold ensuring that the valve ends properly
engage the mouth of the burners. Re-connect the rear burner
feed tube and the gas supply hose. Turn on the gas supply,
then check all joints for leaks using a 50/50 soap and water
mixture. See leak testing instructions in the manual or on the
web at www.napoleongrills.com.
8. Reassemble all the remaining components.
